Frequently Asked Questions

Detroit Wedding Video Production

Do you attend the rehearsal?

I always attend the wedding rehearsal. This gives me the opportunity to determine the best possible camera location for filming during the ceremony to make certain you don’t miss a single special moment. This also gives me the chance to get to know you a little better, as well as to become familiar with the lighting conditions and the arrangement of the bridal party.

Will you personally be filming out wedding?

Absolutely. While I may have a trusted 2nd shooter assisting me, I'm the Director of Photography when it comes to shooting your wedding video. Besides, why would I want to miss out on all the fun!

What equipment do you use?

I shoot in High Definition with professional, broadcast quality 3-CCD cameras, and my primary unit is the Panasonic HVX200A. What that means to you is that the images I'm able to capture are stunning, and you’ll be amazed by the clarity of both video and audio as you experience your wedding again and again.

How will you edit our video?

I edit exclusively on Apple’s Final Cut Pro editing suite, and every video is crafted to be a unique expression of the individual bride. My style is an artistic blend of documentary and cinematic techniques that allows you to experience the excitement and emotion of the day while following a compelling and cohesive storyline.

Why do you recommend two cameras for the ceremony?

Make no mistake - even with only one camera I can certainly capture the essence of your wedding ceremony. From the walk down the aisle to the readings and the exchange of vows, I’ll capture it all. Two cameras, however, will offer a broader range of images and allow a greater deal of flexibility during the editing process, not to mention a more dynamic viewing experience.

When will I receive my DVD?

I know you’re excited to see your wedding video, but the editing process is perhaps the most vital element in crafting a moving, beautiful story, and I just won’t rush the job. After all, you deserve my best, and that’s what I intend to deliver. Still, I have no intention of keeping you waiting any longer than necessary, so I focus my creative energy on your production and do my best to have the finished video in your hands within 3 to 4 months.
